Gift-in-Kind Challenge 2011
Your gift-in-kind means the world to us and to the people we serve. With many rewards, it’s as easy as 1, 2, 3 to become a supportive community partner. Learn more about how you too can participate in this challenge, simply click here.

Legacy Giving
Like most Canadians, you probably donate by cash, cheque or credit card to your church and favourite charities every year. These gifts are certainly welcomed, and they result in a tax credit for you. But this is not necessarily the most cost-effective way to make a charitable donation. Have you ever thought about planned giving?

Giving larger-sized gifts to a charity or other non-profit organizations is collectively known as Planned or Legacy Giving. Legacy Gifts can be thought of as deferred gifts, or gifts given in the future; they can include a bequest, naming Mission Services of London or its Foundation as beneficiary of an existing or new life insurance policy, a gift annuity or remainder trust, a gift of property, or naming a charity as beneficiary of your RRSP or RRIF.

To learn more about Legacy Giving, request a copy of our Will Planning Guide or information on the Mission Services of London Foundation, please call Mary Brown, our Major Gifts Officer at 519.433.2807. Check out the “did you know” page too for helpful information on planned giving.

Through your Shares or Securities
A gift of publicly-traded securities, such as stocks, bonds or mutual funds, can be made to Mission Services of London, or even the Mission Services of London Foundation.

Your Used Items
Gifts of new or gently used items can be given to the Mission Store at 300 William Street. We can arrange a free pick-up if you need one – simply call 519.438.3056 to arrange your time. Our wish list includes:

  • Pots and pans
  • Mens casual shoes
  • Sheets for double and queen sized beds
  • Pillows
  • Blankets
  • Winter coats for kids
  • Winter coats for men
  • Towels

When you drive by, keep an eye on the electronic sign in front of the Men’s Mission & Rehabilitation Centre on York Street… We post current needs there often.

About Your Gift
Financial Gifts will be acknowledged, and an official receipt for income tax purposes will be given. All donations will be used for Board-approved programs and projects. When any need or project goal has been met, extra funds will be used in areas of greatest need. We respect your privacy and do not rent or sell our mailing lists.
