Churches in London and area have always played an important role in the work of Mission Services of London in a number of ways. This is a blessed partnership. Many faith communities regularly pray for the work of Mission Services of London and the clientele we serve.
You can take our newsletter and pray through it, include Mission Services of London as prayer requests in the weekly bulletin, or contact our Donor Relations Coordinator to receive the list of needs on a regular basis.
We are so thankful as well for those churches that support the work of Mission Services in their missions budget planning and give regularly to help the vital work of our staff and client service programs. This makes a real difference.
Many churches also volunteer their time and their people-rich resources to carry this important honour of serving those in need. Recent newsletters have highlighted just a few and there are so many more that help! Please contact our Volunteer Coordinator and/or visit volunteer activities if you would like to learn more of ways your church can get involved.
As well, Mission Services of London through its own outreach program is available to meet, speak and assist ministers, church administrators, secretaries, and social action committees to develop skills and learn more about other resources available in the city. You are all often the front line contact for the many in need who come to the door of your church looking for help.
We share ideas, we provide awareness for critical issues like women abuse and conflict resolution skills, and we network with other churches all in order to minister more effectively.
