The services of The Mission Store are made possible through the work of over 80 volunteers and generous donations from London and area residents. The Mission Store fulfills client needs in two main ways. First, it provides families and individuals in need with free clothing/household articles by way of a voucher system, which is used by more than 45 referring community agencies. Second, it provides a place to shop for those on a limited income by way of budget friendly pricing.
One of our special programs is the Warm Hands – Warm Hearts Outreach Program running since 1995. We partner with local elementary schools to provide needed children’s clothing in the cold months. It runs from November to February and gives free socks, underwear mittens, hats, and fleece tops/bottoms to children in need. The store takes donations and distributes items in boxes to participating schools once per month.
The Mission Store is always in need of household items such as blankets, tea towels, bath towels, pots and pans, kitchen gadgets and cutlery. A free pickup service is available; please call the store at 519.438.3056 to arrange. Please note that we cannot accept furniture or large appliances in the store.
Mission Services of London opens doors of hope with compassion for those seeking emergency shelter and support, by offering safe shelter, food, clothing and rehabilitation.
