On Saturday, Feb. 22nd, 2020 thousands of Canadians of all ages, in six time zones, in cities and towns from the Pacific to the Atlantic, walked together in the Coldest Night of the Year Walk. Here in London, ON, about 317 walkers took part, helping to raise $70,000 (and counting – stay tuned for final total) to help men, women and children in need in our area.
Pledges (i.e. donations) collected by walkers will give hope and practical assistance to hundreds of individuals and families in 2020!
Mission Services of London was proud to host the event for the eighth time in a row. The event brought the community together for the benefit of neighbours in need. With a fundraising goal of $70,000 this year, we are happy to report that we have reached the goal – and are yet counting! Thank you ever so much London, ON and surrounding area for coming together to raise this important funding!
Proceeds will be spread across the five Mission Services of London branches to help men, women and children experiencing, or at risk of, homelessness in our area.
Save the date for next year’s walk on Saturday, Feb. 20, 2021 and keep an eye out on cnoy.org/london or this page for the final total soon.
Once again, thank you to all the walkers, donors, sponsors, volunteers and partners who made the event possible last February! Here’s the video from the 2019 event; the video for the 2020 event is coming soon; we will release it on social media in the next couple of weeks.
