On Tuesday, May 5th, the London community stood together in unity for #GivingTuesdayNow, a global day of giving as an emergency response to COVID-19. Thank you!
You deployed your individual power of generosity to remain connected, to help those in need, and to heal as a community.
We received more than $7,700 during #GivingTuesdayNow time and we are truly grateful!
These funds will give hope and critical support for men, women, and children who are struggling in our community during this pandemic. People experiencing homelessness are among the most vulnerable to a virus outbreak; many suffer from chronic health conditions and weakened immune systems. At the same time, they do not have the resources to secure important supplies like healthy food and face coverings during this time.
Your compassion and solidarity expressed through generous #GivingTuesdayNow donations will help in many important ways including:
- purchasing vital Personal Protective Equipment to keep essential staff and clients safe
- securing healthy ingredients for nourishing meals, as well as take-out containers to properly deliver food to clients staying off-site
- purchasing cleaning supplies to ensure a safe environment for everyone
- hiring additional staffing in housekeeping and direct client support
- and much more
Thank you ever so much for donating to the COVID-19 Response Fund. Your gifts have made a bold impact in the community and a significant difference in the lives of those in need.
If you missed #GivingTuesdayNow but would like to partner with us in responding to the needs of struggling neighbours during this uncertain time through a financial contribution, we welcome your support. Here is a link to our online donation page:
