Covid-19 Outbreaks

Mission Services of London is currently experiencing outbreaks of the Covid-19 virus at the following branches:

  • Men’s Mission (declared July 19th, 2022)

Since the onset of the pandemic, we have closely followed the guidance of MLHU and will continue to do so throughout this matter. Close contacts will be notified and asked to self-isolate while monitoring for symptoms. COVID-19 testing is also being facilitated for individuals who are identified as requiring a COVID-19 test.

MLHU is advising those who work, live, or access services at the affected branches to monitor themselves for COVID-19 symptoms and to seek testing should any symptoms develop.

As outlined in our Pandemic Plan, which has been vetted and approved by MLHU, staff members who test positive for COVID-19, experience symptoms of the virus, or who have been in close contact with a positive case have left the workplace to self-isolate at home. Any clients who test positive for COVID-19, experience symptoms of the virus, or who have been in close contact with a positive case are referred to an isolation space where they can continue to receive vital services such as shelter and meals.

At this time, MLHU has not observed mass ongoing transmission within the Mission Services of London sites. All Mission Services of London branches of service continue to take several measures to prevent the spread of the virus, including heightened and stringent cleaning practices, proper and consistent use of PPE, physical distancing, and educating staff and clients about essential COVID-19 precautions.
