The Resource Centre is Moving

As of April 1, 2019, the Resource Centre that is currently available through the Community Mental Health Programs (CMHP) ground-floor entrance will be moving back to its former location in the Men’s Mission part of the building.

The hours of operation will remain the same: Monday to Friday, 8:30am-11:30am and 12:30pm-3:30pm. The program will be available to men only; women may access services through community partners like the London Coffee House (run by CMHA Middlesex) and My Sister’s Place.

Men who are participants of the Men’s Mission may access the Resource Centre by walking in. Those who are not current Men’s Mission participants will enter through the main entrance of the Men’s Mission, request access to the Resource Centre and be shown the way by a CMHP staff member.

The Resource Centre will continue to offer computers to look for services and jobs in the city, to work on a resume, etc.  In addition, the Resource Centre will continue to connect with participants and to help them navigate systems in order to link with other services they may need. Access to laundry facilities will be by pre-arranged appointment.

In the absence of additional funding availability to bolster staffing for the Resource Centre in its current location, where participant volumes have increased, the move will help best maintain the health and safety of program participants and staff; it will also help to enhance participant outcomes by allowing staff more time to dedicate to individuals, and for group programming. Our main focus is, and always will be, participant well-being and quality outcomes that keep participant’s goals and needs in mind.
