Mental Health Supports
Mission Services of London integrates a wide range of services designed to address mental health needs effectively and compassionately.
Community Mental Health Programs (CMHP) is a team within Mission Services of London that is dedicated to supporting individuals with mental health and substance addiction challenges.
In addition to CMHP, discussions surrounding mental health happen organically through one-on-one counseling sessions with Case Workers at Men's Mission and Rotholme Family Shelter, and Addiction Counsellors at Quintin Warner House.

Philosophy on Addressing Mental Health with Dignity:
Our philosophy on addressing mental health is grounded in the principles of dignity, respect, and empowerment, and is a standard throughout all of our sites and programs.
Every individual deserves to be treated with compassion and understanding, especially when facing mental health challenges or a mental health crisis. Our approach is designed to uphold these values and ensure that mental health care is both effective and respectful.
1. Embracing Every Person's Worth
We firmly believe that every individual has intrinsic worth and deserves to be treated with respect, regardless of their mental health status. Our philosophy prioritizes recognizing each person's unique experiences, struggles, and strengths. By valuing each person's inherent dignity, we create an environment where individuals feel seen, heard, and respected.
2. Fostering Respectful Communication
Respectful communication is at the heart of our approach. We strive to engage with individuals in a way that is empathetic, non-judgmental, and supportive. This means actively listening to their concerns, validating their feelings, and providing information in a clear and compassionate manner. We aim to empower individuals by giving them a voice in their own care and respecting their choices and preferences.
3. Providing Person-Centered Care
Our approach is centered on the belief that mental health care should be tailored to the individual. We work closely with each person to understand their unique needs and goals. By involving individuals in the development of their care plans, we ensure that interventions are relevant and aligned with their personal values and aspirations. This person-centered approach promotes a sense of agency and control over one's own mental health journey.
4. Ensuring Privacy and Confidentiality
Respect for privacy and confidentiality is crucial in maintaining dignity. We are committed to safeguarding personal information and ensuring that all interactions are conducted in a secure and private manner. Individuals can trust that their personal stories and mental health concerns are handled with the utmost confidentiality.
5. Challenging Stigma and Promoting Awareness
We are dedicated to challenging the stigma associated with mental health issues and promoting greater awareness and understanding. By fostering an inclusive environment that encourages open conversations about mental health, we aim to reduce stigma and create a more supportive community. Education and awareness are key to building empathy and understanding.
We are committed to continuously improving our mental health care practices based on feedback, research, and best practices. We actively seek input from individuals we serve and our staff to enhance our services and ensure they align with the highest standards of respect and effectiveness.
